Seniors' Week is celebrated across the state each year. The theme for 2010 is 'Live Life! Active Ageing' with an emphasis on thanking seniors and acknowledging their valuable contribution to their local community.In partnership with a number of local community organisations Penrith City Council hosts the major celebration event in the City: Morning & Afternoon concerts and light refreshments for local seniors at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre.
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, March 25. The morning concert commences at 9:30 am with morning tea followed by the concert and the afternoon concert commences at 1 pm followed by afternoon tea. This free event celebrates the diversity of our community with a showcase of local performers.
