Penrith City Council is leading the way by reducing our carbon footprint at this year’s free Australia Day celebrations at Sydney International Regatta Centre on January 26.Thanks to our major sponsor Integral Energy, all energy used on the day will be purchased from GreenPower accredited renewable energy sources.
Penrith City Mayor Kevin Crameri OAM said it was fantastic that Penrith Council was once again showing its commitment to sustainability.
“By sourcing renewable energy to power this event we are reducing our carbon footprint and helping the environment,” Mayor Crameri said.
Renewable energy is generated from sources which produce no net greenhouse gas emissions.
